Forging
Forging is the ideal process for simpler shaped parts.
Glenmar’s forging processes include:
- Free forging
- Closed die forging which is made possible by using leading technology including 5Tonne, 3T and 1T forging presses, 1600Tonne friction forging units, punch units and other forging equipment
- Forging sizes range from 0.1kg to 1 Tonne.
Forging is the ideal process for simpler shaped parts. It provides a stronger material structure for the metal part and is a very stable process which suitable for a wide range of industries. The tooling tends not to last as long as cast tooling.
